About The Cash Chat Founder

 I’m a software engineer and developer. I’ve worked so much in Telecom the reason why we came up with an innovation is that I’ve worked with telecoms. I worked with Warid telecom, now Airtel. I also worked with Simba-net, part of the Wanainchi group. So with the brains and the experience that I have we had to join with friends to leave tech telecommunications to make something in financial technologies.

The Cash Chat mobile application has Boldcachers wallets in the Chat Chat that enables users to transfer money to their Airtel and MTN mobile money accounts, from their wallet to other users’ wallets anywhere in the world. Carrying out airtime top-up, withdrawing money paid bills, making savings, sharing sponsored ads to all users, and chatting with friends and in groups of up to 1,000 members instantly.

How Cash Chat Status Ads Work

What normally happens is if let’s say you have a Facebook account right, and they always post to people the followers who want to view you and what you’re doing. So it is the same in Cash Chat, we have of course our status, and the timeline where you can post your memes every day. We have advisors who target that content.

Challenges

We still have a lot of challenges especially in the Ugandan market. Although these other countries are working, especially Kenya and Rwanda.  There is still a little bit of a challenge for people to accept our product in Uganda. They haven’t known so much, they have not been so much like in the media so they don’t know much about it.

You know the space of software engineering is quite expensive, you need infrastructure. You need to have investors. We didn’t have any investors, and the idea when it started people could not buy it.

Cashless Transactions

For now it’s the way to go. We are also focusing on cash in a cashless economy for not only Uganda but also in Africa as well. We have also put in wallet, you can now transfer money within a wallet in the same app.

So you don’t need to move with your cash. You just go with your app and your money on the wallet, and you can withdraw from any country that you want. So it’s that’s the way to go and there’s no other way right now.

What Makes Cash Chat Unique
